An Interview with Axel and Saareeh Brodgen

Interviewer is talking with Axel & Saareeh:

Axel: “Yes, it does appear that they targeted our wedding. But..”

Interviewer (cutting Alex off): “There are some that are saying that makes you complicit in the Genivar actions, that you deliberately put lives in danger by having your wedding on Centerra. What do you say to that.

Saareeh (visibly upset): “Wait a minute!”

Axel (squeezing her hand and gently taking over for Saareeh, while speaking forcefully): “As I was about to say, our security was thoroughly reviewed by and with the DIB. With the number of VIPs that would be in attendance, it was only prudent.”

(Interviewer tries to cut Axel off again. He gets only slightly louder, but even more forceful. It is readily apparent that his time as a sports commentator has paid off.)

”They didn’t actually target the wedding. They targeted the station. They may have used our wedding as timing, but they callously targeted the ten thousand people of Centerra Station. Hundreds of people just doing their jobs or going about their business died, thousands more have lost loved ones. Over ten percent of our wedding guests are unaccounted for, including some of our own family, so yes, we’ve been affected, but the 70 or so guests of ours are but a drop in the bucket here.”

Saareeh: “Like my cousin Gable.” (Axel squeezes her hand again. Interviewer starts to speak up.)

Axel (cutting off the interviewer again.) “So let’s stop talking about who’s to blame – that’s the Genivar – and get back to why we are here – to reach out to for relief for Centerra, help find the missing and reunite people with their loved ones.”

Saareeh (flicks a contact from her handheld to the camera) “Here’s a list of the people who have been reported missing. We know some of these people made it off Centerra in the few dozen ships that left in the chaos before the Navy arrived. Please, check this list, and if you’re on it, let us know.”

Axel “If you’re in the Celara system and you have a ship, please, please help run supplies out to Centerra Station and take people off station and back to Cethalara. We have plenty of supplies available, the choke point right now is ships to transport things.” (another link appears).
