Nobos Station

Orbiting Celara's most distant gas giant Nobos, Nobos Station is the key hub for the Theta Thread passing through the system. Sitting about 38 AU from Celara, Nobos is currently at an position where the Thread cannot be used for in-system travel, putting it weeks away from the central system. Nobos Station is the smallest of the system transfer stations, primarily due to its location in the system. The only reason anyone travels to Nobos Station is because they're either on their way out-system, on their way in-system, or delivering cargo & passengers to the station.

As you approach the station, you can see that it's surrounded by a swarm of smaller satellites and scientific probes, just like any other space station. The outer surface of the station is covered in solar panels, but these are just secondary emergency power, since it's so far from the star Celara itself. The station power is primarily provided by a set of fusion reactors, which provide the station with the power it needs to function.

Docks are at either end of the axis, with warehousing at the central core.

Primary operations of the station are contracted to the megacorp Halankara which it handles through its subsidiaries, Threadcomm (for communications) and Moonshadow Logistics (for the docks).

The station's crew is made primarily of Halankara employees, with a few Directorate personnel and independent business owners.

The current Director of the station is Ivanna Kanakova. She is a Directorate employee, primarily in charge of ensuring that Halankara fulfills its contractual obligations, and overseeing the small customs division. She has an office staff of two, and is nominally in charge of the seven other Directorate employees assigned to Nobos.

Luna Serrano is the Chief Customs agent, and has a staff of two custom agents. She is in charge of inspecting inbound and outbound ships and confirming travel documents for transiting passengers.

Jonathan Secada was the former LEL, but was recently forced into retirement for health reasons. His replacement has not been assigned. The LEL is responsible for the application of Directorate law by the station's security team.

The Halankara Director of Operations is Sevan Vosgrichian. All Halankara department and subsidiaries ultimately report to him.

The Red Star is the only short term lodging facility on the station. It is an independent business owned and operated by Dan Chun, a decorated Directorate Marine Veteran.

Threadcomm is one of the smaller communication companies of the Tangle in competition with Paracomm. The communications facility on Nobos Station is responsible for the interstellar Thread Torpedoes that transit to & from Thewre & Wraspu, as well as maintaining and operating the station's extensive communications arrays for traffic control and in system communications.

Halo Bank is the only bank with a full branch on the station.
